About Us

Thank you so much for visiting Connected in Hope. Please feel free to look through this website to know that work that we do.

Connected in Hope is a non-profit organization that was started by Rebecca Smith in the hope of getting help from people in the Western world and sending it to the people in Southeast Asia who live in abject poverty. Connected in Hope was established in 1995 after Rebecca’s prolonged stay in Southeast Asia. She started by simply raising money to give to people in the communities and later on started on specific programs to help women and children and make the organization sustainable.

Rebecca believes in empowering and enhancing the skill sets of women in order to make them productive members of the community and of society as a whole. At the same time, she believes that children must be provided with access to education because they are the hope for the future. This is the reason why Connected in Hope continues to thrive because of its noble ideal to really help the poor and marginalized.

Connected in Hope is funded by individual people who sincerely believe in the work that we do. If in the course of your browsing this website you get inspired by us and our work, we invite you to be a part of it by either contributing an amount to our cause or by volunteering with us. Volunteering can be done through our office here in the United States or by joining any of our teams in our international locations. We sincerely hope that we were able to inspire you in what we do. Know that by joining us, you will be able to help  in making a positive change in the life of a person on the other side of the world.
